Biography: Chip Jasmin lives on a farm in the Bitterroot Mountains of Western Montana. He raises a big garden, has apple and cherry trees, a healthy compost pile, swims in the river, gazes at the night sky, calls back to the birds and gives thanks each day for being surrounded by a beautiful mountain valley.

Since 1983 Chip has maintained an active schedule as a musician, singer, storyteller, dance caller and teacher. As a teacher, he has created musical programs for people of all ages. These programs integrate song, dance, movement and story to teach about culture, history, geography, respect for humanity, global awareness, wildlife and the natural environment.

After 30 years on this path he continues to be inspired to create educational experiences for audiences that involve a diverse repertoire, active participation, numerous musical instruments and humor.

Chip has been affiliated with the Montana Arts Council - Artist in Schools / Communities Program 1985 to present, Young Audiences of Montana 1986-1995, Artist in Education programs in Idaho, Utah, South Dakota and Wyoming 1985-1998.
